The cultural impact of Motown Records to be explored in new documentary

The enduring cultural impact of Motown Records will be explored in a new documentary The Story Of Motown.   Produced by Fulwell 73, Motown Records and the newly-revived Polygram Entertainment,  the feature-length documentary will chronicle  the enormous success of the Detroit label.

Told through new interviews with the label’s founder, Berry Gordy, and many of its artists, presumably including Stevie Wonder and Smokey Robinson, as well as rare performances and behind-the-scenes footage unearthed from Motown’s vaults and Gordy’s personal archives,  the film is being directed by Gabe and Ben Turner, whose credits include Class Of 92, I Am Bolt and One Direction: This Is Us.

The film is expected to be released in 2018.
