#M(ichigan)M(ovie)H(istory) On this day, April 14, 1967, actor Tim Holmes was born

It was on this day, in Michigan’s capital city, Lansing, musician and actor Tim Holmes was born.   After graduating from high school, Holmes moved to Los Angeles to pursue a career in music. He was signed to MCA Records as a solo artist, T.C. Holmes.

After one album, Holmes parlayed his music contacts into an acting career, Holmes appeared in afternoon soap operas, B films and various other TV pilot projects.

Tim took a 10 year sabbatical from the entertainment business during which time he became a firefighter and worked for Warner Brothers Studio Fire Department for seven years. 

He started a successful business, moved back to Michigan, married Nicole and fathered twin boys,  Dashiell and Grayson.

With the rise of the film industry in Michigan, Holmes  returned to acting in 2009.  He has since spent a lot of time honing his craft and developing his acting and film making skills.

In 2011, Holmes has appeared in Real Steel, Machine Gun Preacher, Hostel 3, S.W.A.T.: Firefight, and Street Kings 2: Motor City. In 2013 he will be seen in Oz: The Great and Powerful in the role of The Strongman.

Today is Tim Holmes birthday.  He is 50 years old.   If you see him,  wish him a Happy Birthday.
