Nominations for the 2018 International Christian Film Festival have been announced–and look who has been nominated from the Mitten

The nominations for the 2018 International Christian Film and Music Festival have been announced.  There were quite a few nominees from Michigan.

About the International Christian Film and Music Festival

The premiere choice for faith-based, family-friendly films and documentaries,  the International Christian Film and Music Festival (ICFF) is one of the largest Christian Film Festivals in the world and it is the only film festival with a screening in France during the Cannes Film Festival.

With a goal of to helping filmmakers get to next level, the ICFF counts among the reasons to submit/ attend this festival include:

Wild Faith is up for a bunch of awards including Best Film with individual nominees awarded to Shane Hagedorn Best Actor in a Feature Film,  Lauren LaStrada Best Supporting Actress in a Feature Film and Jesse Low for Best Director for a feature film.

The film and developing TV series portrays life in 1800’s Michigan, focusing on a Civil War vet trying to make peace with his losses and start a new life despite the world resisting change around him.  Written by DJ Perry,  directed by Jesse Low,  Wild Faith features Lana Wood, Darby Hinton, Michael Rene Walton

Chasing a The Star received 5 noms:  Chasing the Star was nominated for  Best Picture, Garry Nation nominated for Best Actor,   Dennis Therrian for  Best Music   DJ Perry for Best Screenplay  and Most Inspirational l.

Written by DJ Perry,  directed by Brett Miller,  Chasing the Star is the story of the Three Magi Priests from different regions of the world who journey through the unforgiving desert in hopes of finding proof of an age old prophecy. But Kings of men and fallen angels will stop at nothing to destroy the Magi and the baby boy they hold dear.  The Chaplain Series is nominated for Best TV Show and Rhodes Short was nominated for Best Actor for a TV Show. Heather Fairbanks  for Best Actress for a TV Show!

Feeling very blessed in every way to be doing what I love and to be glorifying God in the process.”
