Beginning on Thursday, August 23, 2018, the Emagine Theater in Royal Oak, Michigan will host the first full day of film screenings as it will be the site of the second annual I See You Awards® program.
The I See You Awards® will run from August 23 through August 26 this year, with a big day of independent film activities planned each day.
The I See You Awards® is an awards program specifically for low-budget independent filmmakers. Founded by Terri Lee Chandler, an independent filmmaker herself, Terri knows how hard it is to take a project from idea to a completed project. Terri says she believes low-budget independent filmmakers need and deserve to see their hard work, sacrifices, and dedication recognized.
The festivities will begin on Thursday, August 23rd with a full day of nominated film screenings, starting at 11:00 a.m. and running until 9:00 p.m. Click here for the complete list of films and the screening schedule.
Attendees will get an opportunity to see the films nominated for the awards. Those present will have a chance to vote on which short film and which feature film they would like to see win the coveted People’s Choice Award!
On Friday, August 24th, the inaugural I See You Awards® Seminar, featuring founder, Terri Lee Chandler, who just returned from Los Angeles in July, where she filmed her second short film, “Sexy Dex.” Along with Terri will be Phil Elam, an award-winning indie filmmaker and the host of the I See You Awards® show and Kathy Byrne, Director of TV/Theatrical for SAG-AFTRA Chicago. The seminar will start at 12:00 noon.
On Sunday, August 26, 2018, the Emagine Royal Oak theater will host the Black Tie/Blue Carpet awards ceremony at which time the winners will be announced. Sunday’s awards ceremony gets underway at 2:00 p.m. with an opportunity for guests to walk the beautiful blue carpet and network with other attendees. The highly-anticipated awards ceremony will start at 3:00 p.m.
