Now this is cute.
Toy Story 4 has released a teaser trailer with two new characters voiced by comedy duo Keegan-Michael Key a Jordan Peele, this a day after Disney unveiled the first teaser trailer for Pixar’s Toy Story 4 on Monday morning.
The character’s names are Ducky (Jordan Peele) and Bunny (Keegan-Michael Key). Two plush carnival toys, they are seen hanging out at their carnival booth excitedly discussing the upcoming Toy Story movie, mocking and poking fun at Woody (Tom Hanks) and Buzz Lightyear (Tim Allen), until these two show up.
When Woody and Buzz correct Ducky and Bunny on what they are saying, “The line is, “To infinity and beyond!” Ducky and Bunny find that hilarious, with Ducky exclaiming, “That’s the stupidest thing I’ve ever heard!”
“You can’t go to infinity, dummy. It’s impossible,” Bunny adds.
According to Pixar’s description, Ducky and Bunny come in to “Toy Story 4” when Woody (Tom Hanks) visits a carnival and meets the two funny prizes “who are eager to be won.”
But after Woody and the gang ruin those plans, Ducky and Bunny get roped into “an unexpected adventure with a group of toys who have no idea what it feels like to be tacked to a prize wall.”
Directed by Josh Cooley (“Riley’s First Date?”) Toy Story 4 is produced by Jonas Rivera (“Inside Out,” “Up”) and Mark Nielsen (associate producer “Inside Out”).
Cooley gushed of Key and Peele, “two of the most brilliant minds I’ve ever seen.”
“Of course, they are effortlessly funny, which would be enough. But they are incredible actors that understand story,” he said. “Their improvs weren’t just for comedy sake, they were story motivated which elevated Ducky and Bunny and the film to a level I never could have expected.”
Disney•Pixar’s “Toy Story 4” ventures to U.S. theaters on June 21, 2019.
