Detroit rap icon Eminem will make a brief appearance on the upcoming Starz series “BMF,” as Richard Wershe Jr., the former teenage drug dealer from Detroit nicknamed White Boy Rick.
“BMF” is a dramatized version of the exploits of two real-life Detroit brothers from southwest Detroit who were powerful figures in drug trafficking in a huge multi-state drug trafficking ring.
Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson will be working with executive producer, writer, and showrunner Randy Huggins, who hails from the Motor City. And Snoop Dogg will have a recurring role as the Flenory family’s spiritual adviser.
Starz has described “BMF,” which is set in the 1980s, as “a story about love, kinship and capitalism in the pursuit of the American dream.”
The title “BMF” stands for Black Mafia Family.
The series premieres on September 26.
