Dani Fernandez to join the cast of the animated series “Beyond Me” starring Haha Davis

The Chicana writer and actress, Dani Fernandez, who has* hosted at E!, Disney, SYFY, Nerdist, and more, is set to join the cast of the animated television series currently in development titled, “Beyond Me.” The show will star Instagram funny man and world-famous stand-up comedian HaHa Davis. The show will be based on the graphic novel of the same title—created and written by B. Van Randall and published by Verse Comics USA.

Dani Fernandez is a seasoned writer with credits across Netflix, HBO Max, and Comedy Central. She hosts a weekly podcast for iHeartRadio called“Nerdificent” which covers the past, present, and future of fandoms. Dani is also a writer in the American edition of the popular book“The Good Immigrant” and has a comedy wizarding show called,“Live from WZRD” on VRV.

 

Fernandez has been a panelist multiple times at San Diego Comic Con, LA Comic Con, WonderCon, and New York Comic Con speaking on the importance of Latinx superheroes in media. She also has a cameo as herself in Disney’s “Ralph Breaks the Internet.”

HaHa Davis has been featured in Lil Nas X’s “Old Town Road” music video(alongside comedy veteran Chris Rock), as well as Big Sean’s “Single Again” music video. He has been a part of projects produced by Netflix, Comedy Central, and more.HaHa Davis has amassed an impressive Instagram following of 6.6 million people and is showing no signs of slowing down anytime soon.

The HaHa Davis inspired graphic novel has been a hit amongst Davis’s fans—many of which who have expressed strong interest in a full animated television show based on the book. Verse Comics USA is answering those requests.
