In 1993, DC Comics released the first issue of 37 that would feature the Justice League Task Force. A spinoff of Justice League Europe, a series that ran from April 1989 to May 1993, this team carried a United Nations charter that sanctioned their activities. In fact, JLTF was composed of several former JLE members.The team was called to action by Hannibal Martin, a representative of the U.N.. He asked that Martian Manhunter, one of the seven original members of the Justice League of America and one of the most powerful beings in the DC Universe. select a “strike team” of fellow Justice League members and “lead them on a very special mission”
After a lengthy hiatus, members of the Justice League Task Force are back. Envisaged by the writing team of Kevin Cowell and Eric Levid, directed by Kevin Cowell, they will be seen in a Michigan-made fan flick.
Included in this task force in one of the most important missions of their careers are both the original members as well as new members of the Task Force and their foes Batman (played by Grant Ellis), Dr. Fate (Doug Saunders), Crimson Avenger (Chris Bowman), Vigilante (Pjeter Gjonaj), The Protector (Shamus Smith), Young El (Carlos Clark), Jay Garrick (Ryan Minarik), Grifter (Zay Louis). Zachary Leighton is the director of photography. The legendary Tubio Bethart is the fight choreographer and producer for this production.
